The Campaign Development Academy evolved from a single-session training program offered in 2007 and 2009, into a comprehensive series of free classes designed to prepare Democrats to run successful campaigns.

 

The Academy serves as a resource for aspiring candidates, campaign staffers and volunteers to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to run and win political campaigns.  

 

The Academy has been held annually since 2014.

 

In 2019, nineteen registered Democratic candidates for local and state office, ranging from school board to state senate, were trained at the Academy, as were many members of their campaign staffs.
