As potential candidates and campaign staffers, you will learn about the ways in which the local and state Democratic Party organizations can support your campaign, including access to the VAN database. You will learn how to make full use of the VAN during your campaign. You will also get advice for navigating the many community organizations, both partisan and non-partisan, old and new, that make up today’s political landscape. How do these groups intersect with your campaign strategy and platform? How do you decide whether to seek alliances with or endorsements from other groups?

Session moderator, Sherry Kraft, encourages you to view the website for the Democratic Party of Virginia in preparation for the session and send your questions for Susan Swecker to sherrykraft@gmail.com.
